Replaced earpiece speaker, but still hear crackling audio

So i replaced my iphone X earpiece speaker assembly because sound from it was crackling, but even with the new assembly installed, it still sounds the same. Could this be some sort of software issue? I hope Apple covers it if thats the case.

Turns out I underestimated how dirty the earpiece speaker can get. Went to the genius bar and they cleaned it out in less than 2 minutes. Guess I have a spare earpiece speaker now.

I don't understand the correlation between your story and cleaning the earpiece speaker. You said that you totally changed and put new assembly (presumably, it was purely clean, since it is a new assembly). So that should roll out the hardware problem and should not correlate with the fact of how dirty an earpiece should be. Correct me if I'm wrong here.

The "dirty" part of the earpiece speaker was not replaced, aka the outer screen you put your ear to.

Did you check that the motherboard connector is clean and not damaged in any way?

If everything looks fine it could me the audio IC, but usually if something is wrong with it you don’t get any sound at all.

Apple probably would have covered it but if you have opened your phone and done this yourself they will see that and probably refuse to do anything about it.

Have the same issue. Replaced the speaker, problem not solved. I clean all speaker and microphone holes, but same noisy ear speaker.

Have you any idea for me? Thanks.
