Power button don't work

I have an iPad 2 that after replacing the front panel, the power/sleep button stopped working. Here in ifixit.com, we can't see where it's connected. Can anybody help me? Thanks.

I'm guessing you ripped the volume / power button flex cable.

Diagonally down from the red circle, there's a green strip with two orange conductors. This cable is not difficult to rip.

I haven't found a way to repair the cable because solder doesn't appear to stick, even after using sand paper on the surface. Your best bet is to buy a replacement flex cable, if that ends up being your issue.

Hi i replaced the cable, made sure no rips, but my power button, volume up still dont work, but vol down and mute slide switch still work, any ideas??

remove tuch nd screen remove power cable cleen the board nd fix new power cable

You have torn the power, silent and volume flex cable. This is a common thing people do while opening the ipad. this flex cable is very fragile and it rips very fast. You will have to replace it.

So what is that flex cable called and do you sell them? Is there a manual to replace it .... I replaced my screen cause it was cracked and now the power button dosent work so the only way to turn it on is plug it in... It looks like the nicked the cable on the upper right hand corner that sticks out a little.... In the above link its diagnally down from the circled screws on the right side..... Please help thanks
