iPhone 4 battery does not charger after screen repair.

i repaired the iphone 4 screen for att, and now the batter does not hold its charge, it turned on last night after i reparied it, but would not take a charge and now it just shows the battery charge icon, and it shuts off right away... any ideas of what it could be?
