No controller (wireless or wired) will connect to my xbox

My Xbox one has a problem where it has trouble connecting to the internet, so I often go to options and use the “restart wireless” option (option appears after checking connection). However, after (or before i don’t remember) I clicked the option, my wireless controller began to blink as though it were not connected or ran out of battery. I charged it and tried to reconnected but it wouldn’t work, and when I pressed the bind button on the Xbox the Xbox light wouldn’t blink. At some point I disconnected my wired controller, and when I tried reconnecting it did not work. The same happened with another controller I tried connecting.
