Laptop won't boot, and has weird flashes
It won't boot, and it flashes with the apple symbol, to a do not enter symbol, to a question mark

Your hard drive may be failing. The question mark means your machine cannot find an operating system. Try starting up from your system installation disk by inserting the disk and restarting holding down the "C" key. Go to the second screen pull down menu to Utiiities > Disk Utility. Select your drive on the left and see if you can repair it. Please let us know your results.
