Why won't my ps3 come on?

I moved into a new place and when I plugged in my model CECHE01 80GB (backwards compatible) I heard a pop and it wouldn't come on. The light won't come on at all. My ps3 had been acting buggy before. Sometimes I had trouble with the power staying on. It would come on for a while the cut off with a yellow light then a flashing red light or just cut straight off to the red light. The disc would also get stuck somestimes. It would eventually play though but, it also started freezing up in its last days when I tried to play a new game I bought. What can I do? How can I fix it?
