My laptop has a weird problem please help

My hp laptop has a weird problem where it the display has a weird black border surrounding the whole display even when you shine a flashlight at the screen it shows

Hi @magicjet_ ,

Check the Display Settings to see if the display resolution is set to the “recommended setting” for the laptop.

To get to the display settings, right click on the Windows desktop and select display settings. If using Win 10 you can also go this way Windows Start button > Settings > System > Display
