Will I lose my files if I hard reset my pc

I've been reading about this hard reset procedure as a fix for “black screen of death” by simply removing your battery, charger and whatever peripheral device you have connected, by hold the power button for 60 seconds then plug in the charger and switch on your computer.

But I have to ask if I do this will I lose all my files because I don't have them backed up…

Answer this question I have this problem too

If the system is properly turned off you won’t loose what is stored on your SSD or HDD drive disconnecting the battery.

You probably won’t lose all your files because removing the battery doesn’t affect the nonvolatile storage of your hard drive.

That being said, if your computer is giving you issues, it is always best to have a data backup just in case.
