buying a new battery

Hi

So I had some water demage to my phone, everything worked but the battery wasn’t charging anymore. Everything else worked so I opended my iphone 6s up and checked with a voltage meter and my lightning port has a good voltage but my battery gives 0 volt. So I guess i have to replace the battery, where is the (cheapest) best place to buy just the battery and not the whole kit as i already have all the tools in EU (Belgium). Is there something I should look out for when buying the battery ?

Thx

Since you are into measuring, before buying a battery check if you have voltage at the battery connector with your multimeter, battery disconnected, it should be 3.7-4.2V. Avoid big marketplaces for battery purchase, sellers tend to disappear or change name after a while to avoid problems with customers. If you wish to buy from iFixit you can just purchase the battery+ adhesive, no need to buy the tools if you have them already.

I tested the pins where the battery was supposed to be connected with when it was in the outlet, it was around 3.7-4.2 volts so the connection works, the battery however was pritty dead. Hopefully a battery replacement is gonne fix it, found one on amazon for 17 euro including shipping so even if it doesn't work out no biggie
