Disconnecting The Ribbon Cables
Where on the cable labelled 1 do I put the spudger before applying pressure to remove it?

if it's not that obvious to you which part to lift, then go slow.. use a fingernail/spudger to slide round the flex until you meet the connection on the side closest to you.The connection is like a press stud (popper?) with the flex having the "press" and the motherboard has the "stud" part. Doing it this way makes sure you are levering only the flex and not the motherboard connection.
