How do you connect the touch screen cable and ribbons?

Hi, what i do, is hold it with my left hand placing the ipod on the palm of my hand, and hold the touch with index and thumb placing the edge of the touch like an open door, that gives you room to stick your right hand index finger to press the connector.
It is not an impossible task.
