Kodak 760H slide projector fan not turning

My slide projector has been in storage for many years. When I pulled it out, the fan wouldn’t turn. I took off the cover & prompted the fan with a screwdriver & it began turning. So I put the cover back on & the fan wouldn’t move again. So I took off the cover & tried prompting but without success. Any idea how I can fix this?
