Battery shield raised after installing iFixit battery.

After installing the new battery, I noticed that the shield is raised a tiny bit and not perfectly leveled. Does this mean the connector is slightly larger than it’s supposed to be? Is this normal, or should I be concerned?

Btw, my home button doesn’t click properly at the very top AFTER the installation.

I’d recommend removing the screen and double check your work again. Unless the battery is swollen, but you should have noticed that before the install, there is no reason the battery or its connector would push against the screen and/or the home button.

It is not pushing against the screen or home button. The shield is only slightly raised. I'm guessing the connector is just slightly bigger than it needs to be and that it'll be fine.
