What happens if my battery adhesive tabs are unaligned?

I was doing a battery replacement and messed up on the adhesive application on the back of the battery. It’s very slanted. Will this interfere in anyway with my phone?

Not usually. As long as the adhesive is under the battery and not bunched up, youll be fine. The only adverse effect I can think of is if the adhesive is bunched up your battery may press against the mid plate on the screen causing LCD bruising that occurs when pressed in that area.

Thank you so much! I think the adhesive is fine, but I'm guessing if the battery is bunched up and causes LCD bruising, it's permanent?

Not necessarily. A lot of times the bruising is temporary when the lcd is pressed harder than normal, but it usually recovers fine. I doubt youll notice it without really looking for it.
