Why is my car catching fire and struggling to go?

I have a 2008 Ford Escape. After being idle for a while or turning on the ac the car tends to drive slow. Sometimes it won’t go past 20mph. Then a few times I have had to get new brakes rotors and anew caliper because the right front brake area catches fire. But this is only after the car drives slow. I have been to 4 different diagnostic test and no codes came up what do I do?

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

@djwalker2189 “Then a few times I have had to get new brakes rotors and anew caliper because the right front brake area catches fire. “ most likely caused by seizing calipers. This sounds like your brakes are actually what makes your car go slow, not the other way around. Have your brake system inspected for more than the rotors and calipers. Check the master cylinder for bad/clogged compensator ports. Different year same idea on here2002-04-BRAKES.pdf
