iPhone 7 Plus stop charging at 3% after replacing new battery.

My iPhone 7 Plus battery just got replaced with the new one. I forgot to put ‘sticker’ to prevent the battery from moving. after few months the old battery stoped working, I even cannot charge it at all.

After that I replaced it with a new one. It stop charging at 3%.

I opened battery setting, it didnt show at all about battery capacity.

And then I also tried 3uTools, and I cant read the capacity too.

Anyone have a solution?

There are some tiny components surrounding the battery connector. One of them allows the battery charge state to communicate with the CPU/Charge Circuit. It’s not uncommon to accidentally dislodge components when disconnecting the battery and this is a typical “pry damage” symptom.

Look for R2201 in the image below.

How should I fix this?

Are you suggesting me to buy a new dock connector replacement?

No, you need to determine if the highlighted component is still there. If it's missing, it must be replaced which would require a micro-soldering repair.

Hi, I didnt quite understand what is actually "battery connector". I looked at the battery connector on the flex cable and in the motherboard, on my eyes the diagram given is not matching with the one I see. SO maybe I looked at the wrong one

FYI: I got a replacement batt, now it charges only till 13%

and then it wont charge againt till it droped 1% and the phone restart by itself

No, I havent. I will send it back to the seller today. I hope its the battery

Just try to test your old battery if that charge more than the percent you need, if that goes up means you got a faulty batt.
