Is it normal for housing of a capacitor to give off current

Hi,

My GE fridge doesn’t work and I noticed that when I touch one of the capacitors on the control board its emitting some current. Certainly not a lot (just a tingling feeling) but I doubt this can be normal ??

Capacitors do indeed hold a residual charge.

If you have it plugged in and electricity id going to it, it will have a charge.

Please tell us what the real problem you are having is.

As long as its getting power then yes.

You'll need to get ahold of the schematics and trace out the logic to isolate what's failing.
