I try to donwgrade to macos 10.4.4 but this not resolve a problem.

The SD Card (2 different brand) work to macbook air but not on imac 2017 .

If I use a 32GB card the card reader work perfecty.

The SD slot is likely dirty. I would first use a can of can’ed Air to see if it can push out any junk. a short blast once in the middle to do it. If that doesn’t work you may want to get a can of electronics cleaner. Just be careful! You want a cleaner which does not leave any oil or other stuff (a clean cleaner!) Again, one short blast is all thats needed then use a SC card (system is turned off) plugging it in and out a few times with a follow up blast after a few tries.

Sadly, the SC slot is mounted to the logic board so replacing it is just not possible without a great expense. If your system is still under AppleCare + You should be able top get Apple to fix it under the contract.

In any case… I find always having to go to the back of the system to plug the SD in is such a pain! I use a USB-A hub which has a SD card slot which I’ve mounted on my system. Maybe it’s time you do the same. Here’s a nice unit 3-Port USB 3.0 Hub with Multi-In-1 Card Reader For iMac Slim Unibody 2012 or later

Here's a bit more on the reader

The iMac & MacBook Pro comes with a built-in SD card reader. You can insert compatible SD cards and view their contents using the Media Reader.

The cards must conform to SD 1.x, 2.x, and 3.x standards. The Mac's SD card reader can read standard SD (up to 2GB), SDHC (up to 32GB) and SDXC (up to 2TB) cards.

Sorry, but the sd card is clean, if I put a 32GB I don’t have problem to read a sd. The 64GB sd card is read but not mounted by system.

Utility disk view that as disk3s2 dosn’t show the correct name, the same sd card work perfectly to macbook air or camera.

I think that problem is not of sd card reader but new firmware.

I have tow sd card that before macos updato to 10.4.5 work perfectly, and now not.

The 32GB work previus and now.

Do you have an Apple Store near by? I would take your two SD cards in so you can test them on one of their systems see if they work like your system. If the 32 GB fails see if they can explain why. I haven't encountered any issues my self but I have older SD's
