iPad looping in recovery mode and ending with error 4005

iPad not used for a little while so obviously missed out on updates, so cannot start it up. The device charges ok but loops on the Apple logo. Is recognised in iTunes in recovery mode, but recovery does not complete, ending with error code 4005. I have managed to update the iPad using a workaround, but the device won’t start up.

Error 4005 on the iPad is usually caused by a corrupted NAND. This can be repaired but it does require a micro-soldering repair.

Best way is to restore iPad with iTunes as iTunes can detect it. You have latest ios version on iPad. Before this try to update iPad. Update will not delete data on iPad. Restore iPad will erase all data on iPad.
