Results after water damage cleaning HELP!

This iphone 4 went for a swim in the pool i diissasembled it and cleaned all the connections and soaked the board with 91% Isopropyl alchohol and scrubbed it. I reassembled and it would not turn on still but if i plug it into the computer the apple logo comes up for about 10 seconds then gos away for about 10 seconds and it just keeps repeating this process as long as its plugged in. Did i fix it and it just needs a new battery or something?

Jared here is the guide that most of us on here refer to. I personally have not had any issue with isopropyl alcohol and logic boards...and just like the guide suggests, change the battery. Water and those batteries do not like each other one bit ;-)good luck

Make certain it's dry. I am concerned by the use of alcohol - not everything can handle exposure to isopropyl alcohol. Look over the board, and look for any obvious signs of corrosion.

It turns on now and stays on while its plugged in but the second i unplug it it shuts off. Does that mean the battery is bad?

that would definitely my first choice, Replace it and see what happens but my gut feeling says it is ;-)
