Replaced battery and charging port, does not vibrate or charge.

I’ve owned my iPhone 7 Plus for about 2 years now, as all iPhones the battery has all of a sudden started to discharge very quickly and the charging port would only work with one charger in one direction. I purchased a replacement battery and charging port and replaced them both. I have replaced batteries and ports in iPhones since the iPhone 4, but the 7 Plus was by far the hardest I’ve done. After the phone was all back together and I powered the phone on the Apple logo appeared on the screen for a lot longer than usual, and twice the white background flashed to black and then back to white for awhile. Once the phone finally reached the lock screen and I unlocked the phone, I noticed that A: the phone would not charge (The new battery was only on 1%), B: there was no vibration when I pressed the home button, although it still functioned, as well as Touch ID, and C: Force touch no longer works. What did I screw up and how can I fix it. This is the first time out of countless phone repairs that I’ve ever had any problems like this, but I really don’t want to dig that deep into the phone for a second time. Thanks in advance.

Answer this question I have this problem too

Try just plugging in the old flex and see if it charges u dont need to fit it fully just connect it and test... then try the same with the old battery. The most likely thing in this case is usually the flex isn't lined up correctly and is disconnecting or not fully plugged in

Theres a hole in the flex with a little metal piece sticking out in the housing under the board u need to line the hole with that piece in the centre with the board out if u do that correctly the flex should plug in perfectly fine :)

im guessing that you havnt connected the charge port flex properly, or damaged the connector.

My iPhone 7 Plus is not vibrating, home button is recognized when pressed, but doesn’t click, it was working perfectly, I then swapped the board into a new housing, and vibration stopped, I then changed the charge port thinking it was that , same issue, could it be another charge port issue ? The rest of the phone works perfectly, any help will be greatly appreciated

I had this issue just now. Even though the flex cable was clicked in.. it wasn’t fully down. I put a few layers of electrical tape on top of the flex cable and then when the top metal plate was screwed down it held it down fully and fixed the vibration issue.
