MacBook Pro shuts down.

My MacBook Pro randomly started to shut down after boot up, maybe I have 2 second where it is on the login screen. But then it shuts down again, this happened after leaving it in the bathroom, so could it be water damage? I tried to hold shift control option but that doesn’t work. Can anyone help? Also, want to add on, if I try to log on in the short period of time it seems no keys can be pressed. Also no fans are running.

Update: MAC isn’t turning on at all now.

I would start off getting a USB-C power meter Satechi USB-C Power Meter Tester So you can see what's happening. You could have a bad charger or using a bad or the wrong USB-C cord.

My charger was working fine the entire time, I just came back to it after finding it in the bathroom in about 4 hours, and it didn't turn on. It was at about 15% battery so shouldn't still turn on?

Lets first get it out of the humid bathroom, you really don't want it in there at all. I would then let it charge up. As you can't tell you'll just need to let it sit for a good four hours (this is also a good reason for the USB-C power meter) As there is no charging indicator on charger or cord.

Steam in the bathroom will go inside of your computer and change his state from gas to liquid. In my shop is a common issue. Don’t let it dry, opened and clean it.

Modern MacBook Pros don’t power on without battery, if you are lucky may be is a bad battery only.

Same situation with the keyboard, keyboards are really sensitive to liquid and is easy to separate keyboard layers with liquid having keys stooping working, can be a bad keyboard too.

I'll try to open it and get any liquid out, and I shouldn't dry it? I was going to use a blowdryer. I'll get back to you.

@conlledo - Steam is not a good thing! But its clean H2O so if you dry out your system its likely to be OK. Take is outside in the sun for a few hours.

The proviso here is you didn't splash water on it and didn't keep it too close to your steaming hot tub/shower.
