Even when the phone is not on silent it does not ring. All software settings have been checked and appear to be correct. Additionally the phone vibrates when called, just no ringing. Please help

When the silent / vibrate switch is flipped, is it switching from vibrate to ringtone / unmute? If not the problem is most likely the volume ribbon cable assembly needing to be replaced, sometimes these are liquid damaged or torn.
I recommend opening up the iPhone to the charging port with battery removed to check and see if there’s anything
wrong with the volume button cable, charger port or loudspeaker connection.
