Does BATTERY adhesive come in the iPad 2 IF110-014-3 battery kit?

If old batteries are so hard to pry out, adhesive must be important for the new battery too. Picture & description don’t provide any indication of whether new BATTERY adhesive comes with the kit. (Maybe it’s pre-installed on back?) If not in the kit, what should I use and why isn’t there a link on the page? (If you tell me “Just stick it onto the old tape’s residue - it’ll be fine!”, my trust in iFixit will drop dramatically.)

“Just stick it onto the old tape’s residue - it’ll be fine!”

<grin>

Seriously though, the original adhesive is quite strong and it will usually leave behind enough tackiness to hold a new battery in place. That said, every iPad battery I have ever ordered always has some adhesive pre-installed so you don’t have to worry about ordering anything extra.

Thanks, Minho, I'll take that as a 'probable'! I've re-batteried iPhones and Macs for family and friends, but never iPads). iFixit has never done me wrong, but I'm in the "Trust, but verify!" camp. The text says "iPad 2 adhesive strips". I can see the bezel strips in the kit photo, but if I hold my MacBook at just the right angle, the photo of the back of the battery shows rectangles of slightly-darker-charcoal-on-charcoal. Maybe that's adhesive? Maybe a simple change of the text to "iPad 2 battery & bezel adhesive strips" would be nice, and would probably apply to all iPad batteries.
