Why won't my live view open anymore?
I've had my Nikon D5000 for almost a year now, but just recently there's been a problem with my Live View Mode……everytime I press it, it displays pitch blackness in my LCD screen for about a second and then it goes out of Live View mode. Now, ever since the problem I can't even take pictures anymore. I have enough memory space and yes my lense cap was off but I don't quite understand what this problem is. Can someone please helppppp?

Did you ever get this issue resolved? I have the same problem. Tried to reset, bought a new SD card, updated firmware, etc.
Nikon suggested taking it to a local camera shop. They didn’t even want me to send the D5000 back to them because it is discontinued. Very frustrating.
