My MacBook won't power on

I woke up and discovered that my MacBook pro which I left on through the night was off… I tried to turn it on and it wouldn't power on! I usually take out the battery bEcause it was dead anyway… and the charge indicator for the cable is very dim! It does light up but very dim…

Please help cus this is a very critical point for me!

Sometimes, if a MacBook's battery is completely dead, the machine will not start. I would leave it plugged in for three hours and see if it will take some charge. If this fails you can try removing the battery and see if it will start. If these things fail, you may have to replace the battery.

The more information we have, the better answer you get. Use a multimeter and test the output of your MagSafe adapter, the pin out is on the right: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MagSafe

I did that I even tried a friends MagSafe and it's still the same result! I tested my MagSafe on his and it worked perfectly

Am I supposed to keep offering suggestions just to hear you've already tried that?

I have experienced the exact same problem, but my macbook pro is from early 2008 (A1260 Model). BTW, the model number can be found on the bottom of the laptop.

I brought it over to best buy to see if they would have an idea. They told me that it might be the logic board which costs new 800-900 USD. Tomorrow I will bring it to an apple store see if they know more about it.
