iPods (4th gen and classic) took a swim in the ocean

My iPods (4th iPod touch and iPod classic) were submerged in the ocean (for how long, I don't know), and I wanted to know if there was any hope of saving them. I rinsed them with tap water and have had them in rice for about 18 or so hours, but I don't know if they can be saved. Help!!

Where can I get new hard drives for them? Do they have them online on the Apple website or maybe Amazon?

by

Mireya, thank you for accepting my answer. I have not seen them on the Apple site. I do know that Amazon has them, but I would do a good Google search. You will be surprised about the difference in price and delivery. It all depends on where you reside as well. Again, they are relatively easy to come by and not to expensive. Let us know if you need any help with it. Good Luck.

Mireya, Here is what I would do first. The problem with your iPods will be that both of them have hard drives that most likely will have to be replaced as well. But start with the guide and work systematically. Do not even try to turn it on until you finished the cleaning process. Good Luck..

once you got it done, let us know so we can continue to help you out. I love those older iPod's, not to many apps for it but they sure sound great...;-)
