On start up when cold get white bar across page with vertical lines
On start up of my 13” mid 2012 MacBook Pro I get a white bar across screen with vertical lines down.
This can generally be fixed when I warm the base of the laptop and jiggle the screen. The lead to the screen has been replaced (which I’ve done).
I’ve tried everything I can think of! Sometimes I have to keep jiggling the screen to keep it from fading but other times, when the day is warm, it is OK till I leave it for a while and then the whole thing happens again.
Any thoughts? Must be temperature related.
Is this a good question?

Could be your GPU which is having issues. But I'm not for sure. Could you test it ? Perhaps someone else here recognize this.

Can you tell us which system you have?
◆ 13" MacBook Pro Unibody models
◆ 13" MacBook Pro Retina models
They are radically different!
Can you give us some background on your system did you have a liquid spill or sit it down on a wet surface at some point?
What happens when you use an external monitor is the image OK on it?
