Screen and Keyboard not backlit

I just finished replacing the LVDS cable for someone who had inadvertently cut their cable. Now that I've hooked the LVDS cable to the screen and logic board when I power the computer on I get no light, they keyboard will not light up nor will the screen. I can see that there is stuff on the screen so I know that the LVDS cable works. What controls the light to the screen and keyboard and is there anything that I should check before buying that part. This is a Macbook pro 13" 2.26ghz intel core 2 duo. Thanks

Answer this question I have this problem too

It's now called the display driver board. It looks like an inverter and is in the same place. Please give us the last three figures of your serial number so we know exactly which machine you have and can get you to the correct guide and parts.

Also, I don't know whether or not this could be related but the wireless card doesn't seem to work either, the card is in the computer but it doesn't show up in hardware on system profiler
