setting up DVI to SCART

I would like to play movies on my TV, my computer being the source. My DVD player has a SCART connector.

I bought:

and connected everything up:

DVI > RGB > SCART

I set the DVD player to display data coming from the SCART port and connected my camera to it to see if it works and it did.

I unplugged the camera and put the cable leading from my computer's DVI port in.

All I see is a blue screen, as if nothing was plugged in.

I fear that my DVD player doesn't support RGB input. Is it possible that in cheap DVD players, not all SCART pins are used?

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

John, take a look at this and see if it demystifies it a bit. I would think that RGB is supported by most of the DVD player http://www.idiots.org.uk/vga_rgb_scart/
