Disabled iPod with full storage and cannot be restored

While restoring my disabled iPod it showed that it was unable to because of the filled storage and it couldn’t install the new os.

please how do I free up space on it while it is disabled

You can restore by placing the device in DFU mode and plugging it into a computer running iTunes.

When iTunes recognizes the device and detects it is in a recovery state, it will automatically offer to restore the device.

The method of achieving DFU mode differs depending on which generation iPod you have, so here is an article that covers all of them (with the method for iPhone being the same for iPod.)
