Bmw died while on highway
My Bmw was having trouble starting the week before it just died while I was driving on the highway and would not restart. What are the possibilities.

Corroded battery cable losing contact. Out of gas.
Did the solenoid engage?

you might also have a bad alternator. you should get it to a shop.

Usually when e90s stall you can fix it with a new battery. But the underline issue could be the alternator, a bad ground(strap under car that connects the chassis to the engine) loose battery or faulty wiring. Start there.
