Where can I find replacement parts.

My external hard drive was accidentally dropped and now the reader arm is damaged. Where can I find a replacement arm to get the drive working again? I have memories from while I was in the military stored on the drive and don't want to lose them and can't replace them.

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

I opened the drive and removed the arm. The part number on the barcode is SDEH99Q0RC9. Any info that you have would be greatly appreciated.

that will totally depend on the actual drive. you will have to open the enclosure and identify the drive by the label affixed to it. Let us know what you find out so we can try and help you find what you need.

what exact make and model is the drive. The barcode number will most likely not help us since this is possibly for external company use.

@jholmes Do you mean you opened up the drive itself exposing the metal read/write disks to open air ?

by

@arbaman i did open the drive to open air. I have done it to past hard drives and it never affected the drive.
