Pixel 2 screen suddenly went black, with flashes of home screen

Hi all. So my Pixel 2's screen shut off suddenly. It still responds to buttons and everything, but the screen is black. I tried all of the button combinations so far and at best I see a greenish flash of my lock screen for a split second and then it goes black again. Please tell me this is a software thing and I can still fix this. I bought it secondhand and I'm not covered by warranty. Thanks.
