Black screen on boot, no backlight BIOS reports “unknown panel”

I’m having a problem with the screen, it never turns on, the last time it was on it went blank white(which is also what it does when I try to run the lcd built-in-self-test), then never came on again, the bios says “unknown panel” I’ve replaced the screen cable but it still doesn’t turn on, and the bios still says “unknown panel”, could the panel have failed?

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

If BIOS is not recognizing the LCD panel, perhaps flashing the BIOS to update it will help.

Also, is BIOS giving any “beep codes” when you first turn your computer on?

I’ve already tried this, and it made no difference, no it functions normally other than the screen not working, thanks for the help though
