I want To buy a Verizon logic board and put it in a Australian iPhone 5s . but I don’t know if it will fit in probably

Those logic boards are most likely going to be network locked to that service provider. Are you going to use a different service provider?

No I was just going to fix the phone up do you need a and also do you need a SIM card to set up the phone

For setting up the phone and activating it a Sim is not required. So it should be fine.
