Why does my iPhone can only be charged with OEM cable and not original

My iPhone can only be charged using OEM or aftermarket cable which is MFI certified but any original cables wont work. Moreover, the OEM cable only works on one side and not both. I tried cleaning the charging port using some cotton but still problem persists

@danj hey thanks for the answer. If i still continue using the OEM cable, will it worsen the condition of my phone?

Yes, you could damage things more. Depending on how bad the connector is you could create a short within it. Basically, a pin could slide over and touch a different pin (If its cracked). If its corrosion or lint built-up less likely to be not so bad.

I wouldn't wait too long!
