Can I underclock my CPU to reduce GPU bottleneck?

Hi, so recently finished a PC build except for the GPU. I have a Ryzen 3 1200 CPU and a Radeon HD 6770. The GPU is bottle necking the CPU, so can I underclock the CPU to reduce the bottleneck? Or is that just not possible?

Thanks in advance!

That’s not how bottlenecks work OP.

The graphics card is just plain old and very obsolete and is holding back your computer for any sort of gaming. If you want the computer to run at least decently I would invest in a better GPU like a RX 580 / GTX 1050 ti.

If the GPU is the bottleneck, then use your extra CPU on something else. Why would you want to dumb the CPU down?

So would I just have a bunch of programs open while playing?

Or just leave it there, why bother when it works?
