Do I have an "Mini DVI" or a "Mini Display" port?

I have a 2006-2007 2.0 core 2 duo Macbook (A1181) I'm trying to figure out if it has a "Mini DVI" or a "Mini Display" port on the side, I have seen both on various sites including Best Buy and the Apple store.

Is there even a difference? Will a "Mini Display Port to HDMI" adapter (such as this one http://www.geeks.com/details.asp?invtid=...) work for me?

All MacBook A1181s have MiniDVI ports. The newer, unibody aluminum or plastic MacBooks have Mini-Displayport connectors. Physically, the Mini-Displayport connector is quite a bit smaller, so the cables are not interchangeable. This cable will work with your laptop:

Now is there anyway to connect that external display other than using the mini dvi. Theyre hard to come by. Amazon? Yes but I'm doing some work for a client making the need somewhat urgent. Im ordering the connector frm A now for future use tho that doesnt help me at the moment..

My.specs are basically the same. 2007 white macbook 1181 (in 2017! Proud of my girl!) So hoping for alternative connections. Spare me the "wow girl just get a new mac and get current!" Its on the horizon. On that note .. inout (a) Air; (b) mbp; (c) macbook 12" I like the fanless aspect. I do voice narration. Hurry need to connect that ext monitor pronto. I greatly appreciate all input! ♡♡♡
