I cant enter my password in the log in because of keyboard malfunction

Out of nowhere, my macbook keyboard suddenly started malfunctioning. Its stuck on the shift key, because i cant type lowercase letters or numbers. The problem is, i cant log in to my macbook because my password has lowercase letters in it. How do i fix this?

Hello Patee,

You can try to clean the button with isopropyl alcohol in the off state.

Connect an external keyboard for now. If this doesn’t help, you have to replace it, by opening the system.

But only if you know what your doing. I’m sure there is a dissasembly manual here on ifixit.
