The Acer Chromebook C720-2103 is a lightweight, black laptop that runs on a web-based Google operating system. The Chromebook has access to all the apps provided with the Chrome Web Store and has two USB and one HDMI port for other media.

Where are my photo located

I have an Acer Chromebook C720-2103. I changed out the motherboard and battery the other day. When I replaced everything it works fine without over heating as before but all of my photos and bookmarks are gone. Are they still on the old motherboard?

I still have the old parts. If I replace them will the photos still be there or are they gone for good?

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

The best way to know if your files are still retrievable is to try. On most computers, the permanent storage media is the hard drive that is a separate component from the motherboard. However, Chromebooks are built differently.

Chromebooks have a function where they automatically sync your data and back them up to Google Drive. This function can be turned on/off in the Chromebook’s settings. So, I would first access my Google Drive account and see if the photos aren’t there before undoing all that hard work by replacing the old motherboard.
