The batteries chemistry over the years has improved so you will often find batteries offer a bit more Watt Amp Hour (Wh) ratings.

As an example the IFIXIT battery MacBook Air 11" (Mid 2011-Early 2015) Battery is 38.75 Wh.

So between the fit, the connection, and the Voltage (7.6 V) all needs to be correct you can use this 35 Wh battery.

Do make sure you’ve bought it from a reliable source and you have a warranty! There are a lot of fly by night outfits which are selling junk and also making faults claims!
