Problem After replacement battery with ifixit kit. Notcharging at all

Hello everyone,

I bought a kit from ifixit for my mid-2015 macbookpro to change the battery. Everything went perfect until the end. When i tried to turn on my computer my Mac just kept rebioting After almost 3/4 of apple logo loader. I tried to boot on my Windows. But reboot when the system start. So its reboot Always when the system try to start. I did a SMC. And i also check apple diagnostic , with thé letter D at lauchning. And they Say its a problem from the battery. I feel the battery doesnt have enough power so its shutdown the system.

I check all the connections and its seems to bé fine inside..

could it be a problem of the battery itself?

How long did you have it charging before you turned it on?

Ok i think I found from where it is. And its probably the battery that i bought from Ifixit. The photo is a bit blur, but on the circle red, you can see that the ‘cable’ is a bit cut. This part is normally hidden, but i try to put it out carrefully to look at it, because i was seeing a little weird things and there is like a tiny cut…

Dont know if it could be reason of that, but its probably that, I will contact now Ifixit…

So clearly was a problem with the ifixit battery. I replace with my old and everything work back !

I contact ifixit , and they already send me a New one.

I am just a bit sad because i loose a lot of Time. But pretty happy of the reactivity of them !

There’s unfortunately a good chance the problem isn’t the iFixit battery. Retina Macbooks are very picky and the 2015 has a couple of glitches that request an experienced technician who knows how to avoid killing the logic board for smaller details. Have a look at these guides..did you follow all the steps listed ? If not, chances you damaged the logic board are pretty high..

My Mac doesnt look at all as the two guides you sent me. And i dont have on it a usb c connector. Maybe because its a mid-2015 and not 2015…

I will check the pins on the connector. And else bring to a professional..

Answers are obviously based on the kind of machine you choose as a reference when asking a question and if a wrong machine was chosen, as it seems the case, it's hard anybody can be of real help. All 12" Macbooks are exactly like the one on the guides, since 2015 until today and there's no Mid 2015 model either. Maybe you have a Pro or a Macbook Air, if you don't know how can I ?

I checked pin connector and they all seems good.. the problem its that I read all forum and didnt find anyone who has this problem. You totally sure it could not be a problem with the ifixit battery ?.. i would liké to put its back the older one.. but need to put the stick of again…

And i confirm its not a retina 2015 but a mid-2015 retina , which apparently change a lot…

And i am really not sure its a Logic board problem. As i Saïd i Can Access to récupération tool of windows or Mac. Work good. Just when i try to enter in the system itself it shutdown. Sometimes i Can sée Quick my log page for Windows or Mac os, but Always shut it off just After..
