Battery draining even on airplane mode

After using(in emergency) a fake charger , the battery life slightly decreased 89 to 80% and heating issue started..

battery has been replaced but still have heating issue and new battery getting drained much before the normal timeframe (getting 1% reduced in 10 minutes in airplane mode with screen off ). All apps has been deleted. CPU usage still appearing 20-40%

what could be the issue and what best can be done to resolve this

please suggest, any help would be highly appreciated!!

Unfortunately it seems the aftermarket charger costed you dearly in the end. Unless you had the bad luck to pick up a faulty replacement battery, but that seems a bit unlikely since it shows the same issue experienced with the replaced one, odds are the brick damaged your phone. Such high battery drain is usually caused by a shorted component wasting power constantly. If you feel like it, you may try a further battery but there’s a high risk of wasting further money. Alternatively you may hand your phone to a microsoldering Pro for testing, many work on a no fix no fee basis and would avoid you shooting again in the dark with yet another battery purchase.

Thank you! Will need to find a microsoldering pro.. also I found CPU & RAM busy all the time with 20-30% loading even after deleting all apps and facing huge heating issue while on call or even sometimes when phone is in pocket.. I have turned off all privacy and data use as well

Any idea what could be the reason behind it?

Many thanks!

@kris7 I hardly check what's the phone busy on, I know I might overlook something this way, but being usually iOs so troublefree I concentrate directly on hardware issues which are the ones giving me the real headaches :) I'd speculate a 20/30 % might be quite normal when using an app checking processor processes and the phone is always busy doing something on its own. You may try backing up phone data and do a system wipe or even a DFU restore with iTunes or 3UTools not to let anything untried. Keep us posted.

Sure! DFU next in my list

No luck

@kris7 Then it's quite clear there's a hardware issue. You'll have to have the phone looked over by a Tech.

Did you replaced the previous battery with a genuine new one or a cheap Chinese brand? Just to make sure, go to Settings, Battery, Batttery Health and double check if they health is above 80%.
