Why is my speaker repeating a single sound of a busy phone line?

My speaker has suddenly began making a single sound every few seconds which sounds like a single busy signal on a phone. I have read the manual, turned off/on both speaker and phone without success.

Same here. Anyone have an answer yet? I'd be sorry to let this speaker go but, it's really annoying.

Yes, I figured it out early on. But you were right and it was very nice of you to take the time to answer.

Mine is plugged in and I have a busy signal constantly

My Journey exhibits the same problem. I wouldnt have thought 46% would be considered low. Why doesnt it just nag me to turn on battery saver?

by

cjwidomski It may be pugged into a "low" power usb port. Change to a more direct charging port. (This happened to me when I plugged it into a "monitor usb" port rather than a direct power port.)

by

The exact same thing was happening to me and like the others it just needed to be plugged in. I plugged it in and just kept using it until it was full

Mine just needed to be charged. I think the busy signal tells you it needs a charge. We all get hungry!

The best answer I have for you is that your rechargeable battery needs to be replaced inside the unit. It probably is charging at a very low rate and even though it still powers the unit, it needs to be changed out.

So where is the compartment to replace battery

by

you have to open it up. Carefully remove the front grill and you'll see the screws.

There may be a warranty on it. You can contact the seller directly about warranty information on Amazon.

I have the same issue, a High Serria speaker that I got at a convention. Plugging it into a good wall USB charger, it shows three solid lights and one flashing when charging, so it is showing me it has a charge. The two "busy" beep sounds will not stop if it is charging or not. Not until I turn the unit off does the busy signals stop.

I replaced the lithium batteries myself by soldering new ones in place of the old and it’s working properly now. Batteries are 3.7 volt rechargables. Can get online or at specialty stores.

The sound of a busy signal on my new speaker meant it needed charging. I charged it and the busy signal stopped.

Mine ended up after I replace the batteries being the battery charger built-in to the circuitboard so now I swap the batteries from the one functioning speaker to the other it’s a bit of a pain but it works

Charge the battery in your speaker. The busy sound means it too low in power.

Update (09/19/2020)

You need to charge up the battery. The signal is telling you it is too low.

I thought it was supposed to be solar powered, so why isn’t it keeping charged?

After plugging the speaker If the charge light does not come on the internal charge circuit Has failed. I realized this after replacing the batteries which are soldered in and cost 25.00.

I see that almost everyone is saying the phone is low on battery and needs to be charged. However, my phone does it when it's fully charged.

It’s telling you that your battery is going to run out soon.

Mine beeps at 20% power or less, interrupting my movie or music every few seconds. I have a “Curve” brand of earphones that I bought in a retail store.

There should be a setting to cancel that sound and simply enjoy listening to the movie or song until the battery runs out. But there is no setting.

I would advise against buying this speaker.
