I just got done replacing my old battery but my device won't turn on.

My phone needed a battery replacement, so I ordered a battery from IFIXIT. I put the new battery, following the steps in the forum, but my phone won’t turn on. What should I do ?

The first step I would take since you don’t have another new battery to use is to see if you can get the phone to power on with the old battery connected. This should tell you if the new battery you got is a bad battery. If I had to take a guess, I would say you just got a faulty battery and you just need a replacement. You said you didn’t remove the screen so it’s likely not a problem with your screen. While connecting the screen to the phone with the battery plugged in is never a good idea, it doesn’t necessarily mean you will blow the LCD backlight.

First try to hold the home button and power button at the same time for about 10-15 Seconds. You should see the Apple logo appear. If this doesn’t work check to make sure everything is attached and/or put back exactly where you found it. If none of these work you may have to contact ifixit’s customer service or something of that sort. Maybe get a new battery.

When you remove the screen and you don’t the battery connector you will fry your LCD. Could that be what you did?
