Battery problems after replacing screen.

So I repaired an iPad pro not too long ago and got everything working smoothly. I however just found out yesterday the iPad won’t charge now. It powered on and stayed powered on until it died, and now it won’t go above 1% on the charger. It will turn on fine and stay on for a few minutes while on the charger, but eventually reboots again.

Here is a link to the previous question I had when I was fixing it:

Home button loose bracket

I know the charging plug and cable are good because they have been used to charge an iPhone 5s. I’m worried maybe the blocker slipped when I was repairing it or something else may have happened to the battery or connector. Any help you can offer will be appreciated. Thanks.

Answer this question I have this problem too

“something else may have happened to the battery connector” YES. This is it. The iPad Pro battery connector is very fragile and easily damaged in the act of lifting the battery connector from the battery. One of the tiniest gold teeth under the connector is for the battery gas gauge line—if the board can’t determine the battery data because this pin is bent, twisted, smushed up, or ripped off—-then the board will not understand that it is out of charge and should not attempt to boot (you will not see the low battery icon) and you will get erratic battery charge percentages reporting—either 1% or 100%.

The solution is replacement of the battery connector which is a doable microsoldering job—-see your trusted local microsolderer or use a mail in repair service.

Well it boots fine loads everything completely normally, it just won't stay on or hold a charge. Does that change anything? I also got the low battery icon for a few seconds after plugging it into my computer. Just trying to give as much info as possible. Thanks for the help so far though.
