Spark near battery flex cable
I went to go disconnect my battery from my iPhone 6 and it sparked because I used a metal tool (Idk why I’m an idiot) and now the phone won’t power on. Do I need a new battery?
Is this a good question?

Nails or even a toothpick would have been better..Hopefully it’s just the battery but a board issue can’t be ruled out either, there’s no way to tell for sure unless you try a known good one or take your phone to a lab for basic testing. Given the modest related costs in both cases I’d suggest you to try either solution that suits you best rather than throwing a possibly still good smartphone.
