Lock Button Repair Button Button goes in too far

I just purchased a new housing for the phone. I was reassembling it and found that there seems to be too much space between the lock button and the actual foil switch. I replaced the headphone jack as well. so that part is new. My friend gave me the phone and when I got the phone apart the flex cable was severed. Its not impossible that the bezel is bent, but I did try to bend it a bit to bring the flex cable closer to the external switch but it seemed not to have helped. What can i be doing wrong?

Answer this question I have this problem too

when you buy an original iphone there is glue holding it together (the bezel and the housing). if you replaced the housing there is no more glue. try pressing 2 fingers, one on the camera and one directly on the other side the button should pop out enough to be able to push.
