@senn if your AV cable has three RCA jacks (yellow/white/red) then the yellow should be connected to the Y jack. The red and white ones are audio (white-Left and Red-Right) If that is not the wire you have, post some images of the AV cable and the back of your TV (with the input jacks visible)
